Tonight, the LUG met to learn about NCSU's campus linux services. There
were 8 or 9 people in attendance. Thanks to Elliot Peele for presenting
on this topic. The slides have been posted online at
http://lug.ncsu.edu/lectures/campusLinuxServices/

Other items of business were:
* Gathering topic ideas. These included Open Source in the Community
and in Business, Conary and rBuilder, and other topics that we have
recorded.
* Installfest. If a room is available, our next installfest will likely
be in about a month. We are checking to see if TriLUG has a date, so
that we don't overlap.
* LUG linux login server - Members with a unity id who attend two or
more meetings are eligible to use the LUG server, upon request. Members
who signed up during today's meeting should be able to log in within 24
hours.
* Secretary Position - There was a last minute nomination, and one of
the nominees couldn't make it to the election. The election will be
postponed until our next meeting.

We followed the meeting with dinner at Amore.

Our next meeting is on PGP Encryption with GPG by Stu Gott from rPath.
This meeing will be held at 7:30 on Wed, Oct 5. He will be teaching us
about cryptography, its uses, and how to use it. The next meeting will
on Oct 19 be a short key-signing party, followed by dinner.
